Overview
We are looking for a qualified Accredited Checking Technician to join our community pharmacy team.
Responsibilities
- Carefully review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory standards before medication dispensing
- Collaborate closely with pharmacists to confirm medication details, dosages, and patient information
- Assist in medication administration processes by preparing and labeling medications according to prescribed instructions and requesting patient medication if necessary.
- Support patient care initiatives by providing patience and clear communication regarding medication usage and safety precautions
- Maintain precise documentation of checking procedures, discrepancies, and any corrective actions taken
- Ensure adherence to pharmacy protocols, safety guidelines, and legal requirements at all times
- Participate in ongoing quality assurance activities to uphold the integrity of medication management processes
Requirements
- Proven pharmacy technician experience with a solid understanding of medication verification procedures
- Knowledge of medication administration techniques and patient care practices
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills to ensure accuracy in checking processes
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment while maintaining high standards of professionalism and accountability
- Good communication skills for interacting with patients, healthcare providers, and team members
- Certification or license as an Accredited Checking Technician or equivalent is mandatory; willingness to obtain certification is highly valued
- Commitment to continuous learning and adherence to healthcare regulations and safety protocols
- Bilingual (fluent in Urdu/Hindi/Punjabi and English)
