Step Into Teaching is working with a secondary school in York seeking Maths Graduate Academic Coach for the 2026/2027 academic year. If you're a Maths graduate passionate about education and eager to gain hands-on classroom experience, this is a fantastic opportunity to support students and join a dedicated Maths department in a thriving school environment.
The Maths Graduate Academic Coach Opportunity:
- Full time Monday – Friday
- September 2026 to July 2027
- £500 - £530 per week (term time only)
The Maths Graduate Academic Coach must:
- Hold a degree with a 2:2 or above or be predicted for graduating 2026
- Be able to inspire students who may need extra encouragement
- Expected to lead group sessions and build strong working relationships with individual students
- Have initiative with planning and lesson planning to have students engaged
- Be flexible and self-motivated
- Have excellent communication skills
- Support the aims and ethos of the school
- Demonstrate a commitment to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and vulnerable adults
