Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment across our facilities. Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems and machinery to minimise downtime.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults using schematics, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic tools.
- Repair or replace faulty components, including wiring, motors, sensors, and control panels.
- Programme and modify programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to optimise system performance.
- Perform welding tasks as required for repairs or modifications of equipment.
- Read and interpret technical schematics to facilitate accurate maintenance procedures.
- Supervise junior technicians or apprentices during maintenance activities, providing guidance and training where necessary.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment at all times.
- Assist in the installation of new electrical systems or upgrades to existing infrastructure.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections for compliance purposes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in electrical maintenance within industrial or manufacturing settings.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Proficiency in programming PLCs and troubleshooting automation controls.
- Skilled in welding techniques with relevant certification preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge to support integrated maintenance tasks.
- Experience supervising or leading teams is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated customer service orientation with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQ in Electrical Engineering or equivalent recognised certifications are essential.

Pay: £45,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
