Job Summary
We are seeking friendly and professional Bar Staff to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving beverages, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role offers an opportunity to work in a lively environment, develop hospitality skills, and contribute to a memorable guest experience. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. All positions are paid, including internships.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders efficiently
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with safety standards
- Ensure the bar area remains clean, organised, and well-stocked at all times
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and drink recipes to assist customers effectively
- Adhere to food safety regulations and responsible service of alcohol policies
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly
- Assist with organising events or promotions as required
- Uphold high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the shift
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or food service is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food safety regulations is advantageous
- Strong serving skills with a friendly demeanour and excellent communication abilities
- Basic maths skills for handling payments and giving correct change
- Good time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to work well within a team environment and remain calm under pressure
