About Denleigh
Denleigh is a leading British brand specialising in luxury bespoke internal doors and bespoke designer door handles for high-end residential properties. We partner with high-spec interior designers, architects, and construction contractors to deliver elegant, custom-crafted solutions that elevate the style and function of luxury homes.
Our company culture is rooted in craftsmanship, reliability, collaboration, and caring. We take pride in doing things properly, supporting one another, and delivering excellence in every detail. At Denleigh, you'll be part of a team that values creativity, integrity, and a shared passion for beautiful, well-made products.
The Role
As a Design Technician / Project Manager, you'll take bespoke door and ironmongery projects from order handover right through to sign-off for manufacture. Working alongside our existing design and technical team, you'll be the customer's main point of contact through the design stage, coordinating timber doors, steel framed doors, mouldings and ironmongery into one coherent package and driving each project over the line quickly and cleanly.
Responsibilities:
- Manage each project from sales order handover through to design sign-off, keeping the customer informed and confident at every stage.
- Coordinate the design package, reviewing and updating the door and ironmongery schedules and specifications, along with technical drawings prepared by our technical team, to ensure doors, hardware, finishes and performance requirements all align.
- Liaise with interior designers, architects and contractors, along with internal Sales, Estimating and Operations, to keep projects moving at pace.
- Review and reconcile all project data points — architects' drawings, designers' door schedules, contract RFIs and Denleigh sales quotations — identifying anomalies and missing information and requesting what is needed to proceed.
- Coordinate veneer, lacquer, stained timber, moulding and other project samples and finishes through to customer approval.
- Monitor the commercials, ensuring design creep does not exceed the agreed scope, and cost up variations as required.
- Ensure designs meet Fire, Glazing, Acoustic and other applicable performance regulations.
- Work within the parameters of subcontractors' sub-contracts and their related requirements.
- Progress projects to sign-off, chasing customer responses and carrying out a final production-readiness check that the manufacturing pack is complete and coordinated before release.
- Attend site if necessary as part of handover to build rapport with the client and build team and resolve coordination issues early.
Key performance indicators:
- Value of projects signed off for manufacture per month
- Meeting 2 week design turnaround timeframes
