Job Summary
We are a national shelving installation company seeking an individual for upcoming projects installing shelving in a retail store. The work will start at the beginning of September, although work may be available earlier.
Valid CSCS Card Holders and full driving licence preferred.
Experience would be preferred but not essential. Upon completion there may be additional work in 2027.
Staying away from home will be required (Hotel booked and paid for by us and a meal allowance of £25 paid per night away).
Work is not guaranteed as is paid for per shift and on a weekly basis. Each shift will be 10 hours night shifts, although there may be some day shifts occasionally.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, fitting, and assembly of structural components and equipment.
- Support experienced fitters and joiners.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to carry out assigned tasks.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings to ensure accurate assembly and fitting.
- Prepare work areas by cleaning surfaces and setting up necessary equipment or materials.
- Assist with the movement of materials and equipment around the site.
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times to maintain a safe working environment.
- Support the team in maintaining organised workspaces and ensuring project deadlines are met.
Experience
- Previous experience in construction or related trades is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with using hand tools, power tools, and basic fabrication techniques.
- Knowledge of schematics and technical drawings is advantageous.
- Experience working on-site is preferred but not essential; training will be provided on site for suitable candidates eager to learn new skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while demonstrating initiative and attention to detail.
This role is for zero-hours contracts or for any self employed sub-contractors.
Pay: £130.00-£160.00 per day
