Warehouse Support Operative / Yard
Location: Uform | Shift: Monday to Friday, 7am - 4pm
Pay: Starting £13.00| Type: Full-time, Permanent
Role Summary:
Join our fast-paced warehouse team within the warehouse and yard areas to ensure that all areas are maintained to the required high standards of tidiness with bins, skips and cages being emptied and recycling requirements performed promptly.
Key Responsibilities:
This involves liaising with the skip provider to ensure the reordering and availability of the required Metal, General waste and Wood waste skips to hold company waste at all times. Ensure the recycling of waste (currently cardboard and metal) where possible is achieved to reduce warehouse waste going to landfill. Liaise with the pallet providers to ensure adequate levels of empty pallets are available to support the warehouse daily operations. Ensure the availability of empty pallets within the pallet holding areas for all users within Uform. The prompt unloading of deliveries upon arrival into the yard.
This person will also have responsibility for the wrapping and strapping of the wardrobe assembly orders in preparation for agreed despatch dates.
✅ What You’ll Need:
- 1-3 years’ previous experience of supervising in a busy, fast paced warehouse environment.
- Demonstrate the ability and willingness to work flexible and/or demanding hours as determined by the needs of the business.
- Target driven with a strong desire to succeed.
- An individual who will represent the best interests of the company at all times in a professional and positive manner.
- Working knowledge of Health & Safety practices.
- Ability to prioritise work & use own initiative eg. meeting dead lines for wrapping of wardrobe orders.
- Valid Fork truck licence desirable
