Kitchen Porter – Part-time
Fixed work pattern between 20-30 hours per week, to include weekend working.
Monday - Saturday 11:00 – 5 (Sundays 11:00 – 4)
Schedule to be agreed at job offer stage.
We are looking for a kitchen porter to join our award winning catering team. Our coffee shop usually seats up to 270 and is often full, meaning our kitchen porters play a vital role in the success of our business.
The right candidate must have drive, enthusiasm, motivation and be able to perform well under pressure. In return we offer training, time and a half pay at weekends and no evening hours.

Key Duties
- Operate and maintain industrial dishwashers including loading/unloading
- Hand washing of some items
- To collect, wash and store crockery, cutlery and catering utensils, ensuring a continued supply
- To maintain scrupulous cleanliness of all areas covered under your place of work
- Take part in cleaning in kitchen as required
- To wash and tumble dry tea towels
- Unloading weekly deliveries
Your capabilities
- You will have good communication skills as well as being conscientious, enthusiastic and motivated
- You must be able to maintain a high standard of personal and working hygiene
- Ability to work as a member of a team
Requirements
- Proven experience of working in a team, along with the ability to organise daily and weekly workload, adapting to changing priorities.
- You must be able to bend, lift and carry items as required and sustain long periods of time on your feet
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions
- Smart appearance
