Painter & Decorator (Subcontract / Day Rate)
Job title: Painter & Decorator (Self-Employed), High-End Residential
Tandem London is a refurbishment and construction company working on high-spec loft conversions, extensions and full renovations across London. We're a team of around fifteen and we're looking for an experienced painter and decorator to join our subcontractor team, with steady ongoing work for the right person.
What you'll do
- Full prep: filling, sanding, caulking, making good
- Priming and finishing walls, ceilings, woodwork and trim
- Clean cutting in and a sharp, snag-free finish
- Wallpapering and spraying are an advantage, not essential
What we're after
- Proven experience, ideally on residential or high-spec work
- Real pride in a clean finish. Our clients notice the details.
- Someone who turns up when they say they will
- Own tools and transport
- CIS registered, or willing to register, with public liability insurance
- Enough English to work safely on site and talk things through with the rest of the team
- The right to work in the UK
We don't mind where you trained or where you're from. Some of the best decorators we've worked with qualified outside the UK.
Rate and hours
- £21 to £23 per hour, depending on experience
- Paid every two weeks, on the same day
- Sites are open 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday
- Weekend work is sometimes available if you want it. It's offered, not expected.
