We are a successful, independent creative studio based in Portland. I specialise in making bespoke, personalised gifts ranging from custom watercolour portraits to outdoor flasks and anniversary tin sets for customers all over the world. As a busy solo business owner, I am now looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic apprentice to join me in the workshop and learn the ins and outs of the creative print and e-commerce industry.
The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build a career in print and production. Because you will be working directly with the business owner, you will receive extensive one-to-one mentoring rather than getting lost in a large corporate team. You will complete your apprenticeship training in partnership with Weymouth College whilst gaining hands-on, practical experience in the workshop.
Your day-to-day tasks will be a mix between
- Assisting with the daily printing and production of personalised items.
- Carefully picking, packing, and dispatching orders to ensure they reach the customer in perfect condition.
- Operating and maintaining professional studio printing equipment.
- Helping to manage incoming orders and monitoring workshop stock levels.
- Keeping the workspace clean, organised, and safe.
- Working alongside me to manage high order volumes during peak seasonal periods.
We are looking for the right candidate who is diligent, takes pride in their work and has an eye for detail. You will have your own responsibilities so being organised with great time management for our daily deadlines.
If a successful apprenticeship is completed we would love to offer a full-time position.
