Overview
We are seeking a hungry and innovative Design Consultant to join our creative team, new graduates are welcome as it is a great opportunity to work with some of the world's leading interior design companies. The candidate will assist with detailed technical drawings, ensuring each project reflects excellence and attention to detail. Overseeing projects from start to finish.
The role is particularly suited to someone in the earlier stages of their design career aiming to get into the interior design (production) sector who is highly organised and is looking to gain experience working across a variety of projects as part of an experienced production team working with bespoke joinery and bespoke soft furnishing.
Responsibilities
- Work within the high end interior design sector to understand designers needs, preferences, and project goals, overseeing the project from concept to installation.
- Develop detailed 3D models and visualizations using SketchUp and setup presentation on powerpoint.
- Create precise technical drawings and construction documents utilizing AutoCAD and CAD software, ensuring accuracy for implementation.
- Use Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite tools to produce compelling presentations, mood boards, and visual materials that showcase design proposals.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously by coordinating schedules, deadlines, and resources efficiently through strong project management skills.
- Assisting with designing and managing projects from initial enquiry to completion
- Drawing and altering floor plans and elevations in CAD and by hand, as necessary
- Assisting with schemes - Sourcing ideas for fabrics, furniture and all other hard finishes, liaising with suppliers and requesting samples and quotes
- Producing sample and presentation boards
- Placing orders, co-ordinating collections and deliveries and monitoring them against deadlines
- Maintaining and developing fabric and finishes libraries.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Design Consultant or in a similar role within interior design, architecture, or related fields.
- Proficiency in SketchUp, photoshop and powerpoint.
- Project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting ideas clearly to clients and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
- A willingness to learn on the job facing new challenges on a daily basis.
Pay: From £21,000.00 per year
