Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional PCV Minibus Driver to join our team. This role is part time (25-30 hours per week). This is mainly school terms, but other work is available, during the holidays. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers (school & college students) ensuring a high standard of customer service. This role requires excellent driving skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance. The ideal applicant will possess strong communication skills and previous experience in passenger transport services. Responsibilities
- Safely operate the minibus in accordance with all road safety regulations and company policies
- Transport passengers to designated locations efficiently and punctually
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance
- Communicate effectively with passengers, colleagues, and management to facilitate smooth operations
- Assist with loading and unloading luggage or equipment as required
- Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained throughout shifts
- Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly to the relevant department
- Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and vehicle condition
Qualifications
- Valid PCV (Passenger Carrying Vehicle) licence with appropriate endorsements
- Proven experience as a driver, preferably within passenger transport.
- Mechanical knowledge to perform routine vehicle checks and minor repairs
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Demonstrated ability to drive safely and responsibly over long periods
- Good organisational skills with the ability to plan routes effectively
- Previous experience in vehicle maintenance is advantageous
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude at all times
