Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing project costs, preparing accurate estimates, and supporting the organisation in maintaining cost control throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities
- Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to develop comprehensive cost estimates.
- Prepare detailed quotations for clients, ensuring all aspects of the project are accurately accounted for.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to source materials and services at competitive prices.
- Monitor project costs throughout the execution phase to ensure adherence to budgets.
- Identify potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety standards.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, labour rates, and material costs relevant to the industry.
- Assist in the preparation of tender submissions and bid proposals.
- Support project teams by providing cost-related advice during planning and execution stages.
Experience
- Proven experience in estimating within a construction, manufacturing, or engineering environment is preferred.
- Strong understanding of cost control principles and techniques.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contractual documents accurately.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with suppliers, clients, and internal teams.
- A proactive approach with attention to detail and accuracy in all work undertaken.

Pay: £25,355.06-£53,951.83 per year
