We are seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Nurse Specialist to provide expert leadership within our gynaecology oncology service.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead and shape a high-quality, patient-centred service, supporting women across the full cancer pathway from diagnosis through to treatment and beyond.
The successful candidate will be a visible clinical leader, working collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective, and evidence-based care. You will coordinate complex care pathways, provide specialist advice, and play a key role in service development, quality improvement, and innovation.
You will lead and support a team of CNS and support staff, contributing to workforce development through leadership, education, and clinical supervision. Strong communication skills are essential, alongside the ability to manage complex clinical situations and support patients and families with compassion and sensitivity.
We are looking for a dynamic individual with significant experience in cancer nursing, strong leadership skills, and a passion for improving patient outcomes and experience.
The post holder will provide clinical and operational leadership within the gynaecology oncology service, ensuring delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care across the full cancer pathway - from diagnosis through to treatment. They will coordinate complex patient care, acting as a key worker and primary point of contact for patients and families, while working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless, effective care.
The role involves driving service development, innovation, and continuous quality improvement to enhance patient outcomes and experience. The post holder will lead on clinical standards, ensuring care is evidence-based and compliant with national guidance, while supporting audit and research activity.
In addition, they will provide leadership and support to the CNS team through mentorship, education, and clinical supervision, promoting a culture of excellence, safety, and professional development.
