Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and organised Receptionist/Manager to oversee daily administrative operations within our dog grooming salon. The successful candidate will serve as the first point of contact for clients and visitors, manage emails, and support team management activities. Duties
- Welcome visitors and clients, ensuring a professional and friendly first impression
- Manage incoming calls with excellent phone etiquette, directing enquiries appropriately
- Maintain appointment schedules and organise meetings using organisational tools
- Handle correspondence, emails, and administrative paperwork efficiently
- Oversee office supplies inventory and place orders as necessary
- Support human resources functions including onboarding new staff and maintaining personnel records
- Supervise administrative staff, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations
- Utilise QuickBooks for invoicing, bookkeeping, and financial record management
- Assist with team management tasks such as scheduling shifts and monitoring performance
- Ensure the environment remains tidy, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards.
Experience
- Proven experience in office administration or clerical roles, ideally within a managerial capacity
- Supervising experience with a focus on team management and human resources functions
- Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is highly desirable
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with professional phone etiquette
- Demonstrated ability to manage office operations efficiently and supervise administrative staff effectively
- Prior experience in customer service or client-facing roles is advantageous
