Metal Fabricator
Due to continued business growth, we’re looking for a hardworking and reliable individual to join our small, friendly team.
We manufacture high-end bespoke furniture from steel, aluminium and stainless steel. This is a varied, hands-on position involving all areas of the manufacturing process.
The role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Cutting and drilling materials
- Operating bandsaws and other workshop equipment
- Laser cutting
- Laser welding and MIG welding
- Metal finishing and preparation
- Powder coating
- Reading and working from technical drawings
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop
Full in-house training will be provided across our manufacturing processes, including laser welding and the production of bespoke table frames.
The ideal applicant
You must:
- Be hardworking, reliable and punctual
- Be able to understand and work from technical drawings
- Have a good standard of practical hand-tool skills
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping
- Be willing to learn and assist wherever required
- Have your own transport, as the workshop is not accessible by public transport
Experience in the following areas would be beneficial but is not essential:
- Working within a fabrication or manufacturing environment
- Cutting materials using bandsaws
- MIG welding
- Powder coating
- Metal finishing
Hours and benefits
- Monday to Thursday, 7:00am–5:30pm
- Four-day working week
- Monthly bonus based on company and employee performance
- All required PPE provided
- Initial three-month trial period, leading to a permanent full-time position for the right applicant

Pay: £13.50-£15.50 per hour
