We're looking for a Sales & Operations Assistant to work closely alongside a company Director, supporting the day-to-day running of the business while also remaining actively involved in the field.
This is a varied role combining sales, operations, administration and people. You'll play an important part in helping the business run smoothly, while working closely with the Director and wider sales team.
You'll be involved in booking sites, organising sales territories, coordinating field activity, supporting the sales team, administration and IT-based tasks. You'll also spend one day per week in the field, allowing you to remain hands-on and build strong relationships with the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Working closely with the Director to support the day-to-day running of the business
- Booking and coordinating sites
- Organising and managing sales territories
- Coordinating field activity and supporting the sales team
- Spending one day per week working in the field
- Completing administrative and organisational tasks
- Using IT systems, spreadsheets and software to manage information and reporting
- Communicating with and supporting members of the sales team
- Building strong relationships with colleagues, clients and other stakeholders
- Helping to identify and resolve issues to ensure field operations run smoothly
- Managing multiple priorities and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently
About You
We're looking for someone who is confident, personable, organised and commercially minded, with previous experience in field sales.
You'll ideally have:
- At least 12 months' field sales experience
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Confidence when dealing with different personalities and situations
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Good IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office and other systems
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- A proactive approach and the ability to use your own initiative
- A positive, professional and approachable attitude
- A full UK driving licence
The Opportunity
This role would be ideal for someone who has enjoyed working in field sales but is now looking for a broader position with greater responsibility, without completely stepping away from the sales environment.
You'll have the opportunity to develop your experience across sales, operations and business administration, working closely with the Director and gaining exposure to different areas of the business.
Salary & Working Pattern
- £35,000 basic salary + bonus'
- Hybrid working
