THE ROLE
You will be responsible for the safe collection and delivery of plant equipment from our Buckingham depot to construction sites across the surrounding area. Day-to-day duties will include:
- Transporting plant machinery including mini excavators (from ¾ tonne) up to 13-tonne excavators, and dumpers up to 9 tonnes
- Loading and securing plant correctly to the low loader or transporter in line with legal requirements
- Completing pre-use vehicle checks and maintaining accurate records
- Communicating with the yard team regarding collections, deliveries and scheduling
- Occasionally assisting yard staff with general duties when required
- Representing Sitewide Plant Hire professionally at all times when on customer sites
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- Valid Category C (Class 2 HGV) driving licence
- Experience driving low loaders or plant transporters is highly desirable
- Confident and competent handling a range of plant equipment sizes
- Good geographical knowledge of Buckinghamshire and surrounding counties
- Reliable, punctual and a strong team player
- Ability to work flexibly to meet operational demands
