Hotel Operations Manager – Hotel – Woking
We are currently recruiting for an experienced and hands-on Operations Manager to join a busy hotel in Woking. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced F&B or C&B Manager looking to take the next step in their career and move into a broader operational role.
The successful Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operation of the hotel, working closely with the General Manager and wider team to ensure excellent guest experiences and consistently high service standards. With a strong focus on events and a small, close-knit team, this is a very hands-on position for someone who enjoys being visible on the floor, leading by example and being involved in the operation.

The Place
Our client is a well-established hotel in Woking with a strong focus on weddings, conferences, corporate events and leisure stays.
With a busy events calendar and a small team, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to be closely involved in all areas of the operation. This is a varied and hands-on environment where the Operations Manager will be very much part of the team, supporting service, events and the wider day-to-day running of the property.
The role would particularly suit an experienced F&B or C&B Manager who is ready to broaden their experience and take their first step into a wider hotel Operations Manager position.
The Person
The successful Operations Manager will have:
- Previous experience as an F&B Manager, C&B Manager, Senior Manager or Operations Manager within hospitality
- Experience working within a busy hotel, events venue, restaurant or similar hospitality environment
- Strong experience within food and beverage and/or conference and banqueting
- A genuine interest in progressing into a broader operational role
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, support and develop a team
- A hands-on management style with a willingness to be visible on the floor and lead by example
- Experience overseeing events and managing busy service periods
- Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work closely with department heads and support the wider operation
- A flexible approach to working hours, including shifts, weekends and event operations
- The role includes a mixture of office hours, early starts from around 7:00am and occasional late finishes for events, typically between midnight and 2:00am
- The confidence to take responsibility for the day-to-day operation and make decisions in the absence of the General Manager
- A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering excellent guest experiences
