Duties
- Support the Nursery Manager in overseeing daily nursery operations, ensuring high standards of care and education are maintained.
- Assist in managing staff schedules, providing leadership and guidance to team members to promote teamwork and professional development.
- Lead by example in delivering exceptional childcare services that meet regulatory standards and best practices in early childhood education.
- Engage with children actively, encouraging their curiosity, independence, and social skills through planned activities and spontaneous interactions.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to share progress updates, address concerns, and foster strong relationships.
- Ensure health, safety, and hygiene protocols are rigorously followed at all times within the nursery environment.
- Support the recruitment, training, and mentoring of nursery staff to build a motivated and skilled team committed to excellence.
Experience
- Proven management experience within a nursery or childcare setting, demonstrating strong leadership skills.
- Extensive experience working directly with children across early childhood age groups.
- In-depth knowledge of childcare regulations, health & safety standards, and early childhood education principles.
- Excellent communication skills in English, capable of engaging effectively with children, parents, and team members.
- Previous nursery experience is essential; familiarity with curriculum planning and activity development is highly desirable.
- Ability to drive is a nice-to-have skill that can support transportation or outreach activities if needed.

Pay: £32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
