Overall Job Purpose:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Engagement Officer to promote our learning programmes, engage with prospective learners, and build strong relationships with employers, referral partners and other key stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and recruiting learners onto our training programmes, developing and maintaining effective partnerships with employers and community organisations, and acting as a key ambassador for our organisation. You will provide information, advice and guidance to help individuals identify suitable learning opportunities and support them throughout the enrolment process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creation of learner referrals network to include all local stakeholders
- Promotion of DBC services to all relevant stakeholders
- Create and maintain learner and stakeholder databases
- Maintain regular contact with learners and local stakeholders
- Achieve weekly start targets as per delivery profiles
- Attend all relevant networking meetings
- Accurate completion of recruitment paperwork as the initial part of the funding administration process
- Liaise and communicate with other team members to ensure learner progress
- Development/maintenance of relationships with employers to ensure learner progress
- At all times to accept and understand your personal responsibility for the safeguarding and promotion of the welfare of all learners with whom you come into contact.
- Adhering to the company’s safeguarding policies and reporting procedures at all times, including the timely completion of all safeguarding-related training relevant to your role
Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications required:
- Experience in learner recruitment, stakeholder engagement, sales, business development, employability, education or training is desirable.
- IAG Level 3 qualification (desirable)
- Safeguarding Level 2 training (desirable)
- Expert communicator both written and verbally
- Passionate about people
- Sensitive to the needs of learners, young people and vulnerable members of society
- Must have a driving licence and full access to a vehicle (ability to travel)
- Professional demeanour to represent our client and the programme in the best light
- Self-motivated and able to work without supervision
- Resilient and able to seek new business opportunities
- Organised and punctual
- Able to work as an integral team member and deliver work at a high standard
