Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables with professionalism and courtesy
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring all special requests are noted and fulfilled
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining a high standard of presentation
- Upsell menu items to maximise guest satisfaction and revenue opportunities
- Ensure all tables are cleared, cleaned, and reset efficiently for new guests
- Assist in food preparation or organisation as needed, adhering to food safety standards
- Handle guest enquiries courteously, resolving any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness of service areas, including tables, cutlery, and condiments
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely delivery of orders
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times, including proper handling of food and beverages
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service is desirable but not essential; enthusiasm for guest services is key
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with diverse guests effectively
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tables simultaneously
- Good time management skills to ensure prompt service during busy periods
- Basic maths skills for billing and handling payments accurately
- Ability to upsell menu items tactfully to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Previous kitchen or culinary experience is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- A friendly demeanour with a professional attitude towards guest care
Pay: £12.21-£13.50 per hour
