Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Damp, Timber & Mould Surveyor to join our specialised team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections and assessments of properties to identify damp issues, timber decay, and mould growth. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive surveys of buildings to detect dampness, timber decay, and mould presence.
- Analyse survey findings to determine the extent and cause of issues, providing clear and detailed reports.
- Utilise specialised equipment and techniques to assess moisture levels and structural integrity.
- Recommend appropriate remedial actions based on survey results, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Liaise with clients to explain survey outcomes and discuss potential solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of all inspections, findings, and recommendations in accordance with company procedures.
- Keep up-to-date with current industry practices, regulations, and advancements in survey technology.
Experience
- Previous experience in building surveying, damp proofing, or related fields is preferred but not essential; training will be provided where necessary.
- Strong analysis skills are essential for interpreting survey data accurately.
- Familiarity with moisture meters, thermal imaging cameras, and other diagnostic tools is advantageous.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple surveys efficiently.
- Good communication skills for liaising effectively with clients and team members.
- A valid driving licence is desirable for site visits across various locations.
