MM Dental Care is seeking a motivated, professional, and patient-focused Qualified Dental Nurse / Receptionist to support the smooth day-to-day running of our busy dental practice on Uppingham Road and Upperton Road.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified dental nurse who enjoys a varied role combining clinical nursing duties with front-of-house reception responsibilities. You will work alongside an experienced team providing high-quality general and cosmetic dentistry in a modern, patient-centred environment.
Key Responsibilities
Dental Nursing Duties
- Chairside assistance for a range of dental procedures.
- Support clinicians during cosmetic dental treatments, including smile makeovers and teeth whitening.
- Assist with Invisalign consultations and treatment appointments.
- Assist during implant procedures and related surgical treatments.
- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms in accordance with infection control and decontamination protocols.
- Ensure clinical records are accurately maintained.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering clinical supplies.
Reception Duties
- Welcome patients and provide excellent customer service.
- Manage appointments and maintain an efficient appointment diary.
- Handle telephone and email enquiries professionally.
- Process patient payments and maintain accurate records.
- Support patient treatment plan discussions and follow-up communications.
- Assist with the overall administration and daily operation of the practice.
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Dental Nurse with a recognised dental nursing qualification.
- Registered with the General Dental Council (GDC).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional, reliable, and well-presented.
- Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Competent IT skills and experience using dental practice management software.
Desirable Skills
- Previous experience assisting with cosmetic dentistry.
- Experience supporting Invisalign treatments.
- Experience assisting with dental implant procedures.
- Reception and customer service experience within a dental practice.
- Knowledge of treatment coordination and patient journey management.
