Hours: 35 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis. There may be an opportunity for overtime based on business requirements.
Salary: Up to £13.00 per hour, plus gratuities, based on previous experience.
The County Hotel, Chelmsford is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and passionate individual as Food & Beverage Supervisor, on a full-time basis.
The Company
The hotel is a 4 star city-centre 58 bedroom hotel, featuring the award-winning 1 AA Rosette Samphire Restaurant with busy conference and banqueting facilities in the heart of Chelmsford.
The Role
Lead the Food & Beverage team on shifts and partake in Duty Manager shifts.
Assist the Food & Beverage Manager in the running of the department.
Provide guests with all service and assistance connected with their food and beverage experience at the hotel.
Delivering four star service to our guests within the restaurant, bar, conference & banqueting facilities, as well as for alfresco outdoor dining and room service.
Offering good levels of rapport in our restaurant for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner service.
Setting up function rooms and assisting in hosting a wide range of events at the hotel.
Having natural hospitality charm and a real passion for service.
The ability to communicate effectively with all members of staff and management and paying close attention to detail is imperative.
The shifts for the role of Food & Beverage Supervisor will generally include 07:00-12:00, 07:00-15:00, 08:00-16:00, 15:00-23:00, 18:00-22:30 and 12:00-22:30, however alternative shifts may also be required for business needs.
Experience
A minimum of 2 years customer service experience and 1 year hospitality experience as a Team Leader or Supervisor within a Food & Beverage Department, in a hotel setting.
The successful candidate must be 18 years of age or older as they will be serving on the bar independently at times.
This would be the ideal role for an experienced Team Leader or new Supervisor within hotels.
