Warehouse and Trade Counter Operative

We are expanding our team and looking for a full time Warehouse and Trade Counter Operative who can deliver fantastic service to our customers while keeping our stock room running like clockwork.
This is a brilliant hybrid role that splits your time between the warehouse floor and the front desk.
- On the Counter: You will be the face of the business for our trade customers, helping them find exactly what they need, creating quotes and invoices on our computer system, and processing payments.
- In the Warehouse: You will be picking and packing orders, assisting with goods in, putting away new stock, and keeping our inventory accurate with regular stock checks.
- The Bonus Element: If you happen to be 25 or older with a clean driving license, you could also step in to cover our delivery drivers in the company Ford Transit van when they are away. Please note: If you cannot drive, we still want to hear from you for the main warehouse and counter role!
Our standard hours are 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. While adding you to the team should keep extra hours to a minimum, we do need someone with a flexible approach during our busiest times. On occasion, this means pitching in with an early start from 7am during the week to get orders ready for the drivers. Very occasionally, if we are exceptionally busy, we might need you for two or three hours on a Saturday morning from 6am to 9am so we can get a head start for Monday.
We offer a salary of £22,568 to £26,520 per year based on your experience, alongside 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, and our company pension scheme starting after your first three months.
