We have an exciting opportunity for a Medical Workforce Adviser to join our Medical Workforce Team at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust.
Role Title: Medical Workforce Advisor - Rota Design & Compliance
Band: 6
Contract: Permanent Full-time
Working closely with Clinical Directors, Consultants, Rota Coordinators and senior operational leaders, you will play a key role in developing innovative rota solutions that support service delivery, improve staff wellbeing and ensure compliance with national contractual requirements, including the 2016 Junior Doctor Contract and Working Time Regulations.

As Medical Workforce Rota Adviser, you will play a key role in delivering safe, effective and compliant medical staffing across the Trust. Working closely with Clinical Directors, Consultants and operational managers, you will lead on the development and management of medical rotas, ensuring they meet service demands while complying with national terms and conditions and safe working requirements.
You will provide expert advice on rota design, workforce planning and medical workforce policies, using workforce data to identify opportunities for improvement and support service resilience. The role also includes leading rota-related projects, supporting continuous improvement initiatives and line managing members of the Medical Workforce team.

As the Medical Workforce Adviser, you will be responsible for leading the Trust's medical rota management processes, ensuring rotas are safe, compliant and responsive to the changing needs of our clinical services.
Working collaboratively with clinical and operational colleagues, you will:
Lead on the design, implementation and continuous improvement of medical rotas across a range of specialties.
Provide expert advice on medical terms and conditions, rota compliance, safe working practices and workforce planning.
Develop innovative rota solutions that improve service resilience, maximise workforce utilisation and enhance staff experience.
Analyse workforce data and identify trends, risks and opportunities to improve staffing and rota efficiency.
Lead and support projects that improve medical workforce processes and contribute to wider organisational transformation.
Line manage and support members of the Medical Workforce Rota Team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
Act as an expert point of contact for complex rota queries, providing practical solutions and excellent customer service.
