Head of Service – Quality Assurance, Partnerships & Safeguarding
Location: Plymouth
Hours: 37 hours per week
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Head of Service - Quality Assurance, Partnerships & Safeguarding to join a Children’s Services team in Plymouth on a temporary basis.
The successful candidate will provide senior leadership and expert advice across quality assurance, partnerships and safeguarding, supporting the service to achieve positive outcomes for children, young people and their families.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide expert and detailed advice to the Assistant Director, Director and elected Members on national policies, legislation and expectations.
- Ensure children, young people and families achieve positive and improved outcomes.
- Ensure children and young people are effectively safeguarded.
- Drive and maintain the highest standards of practice across Children’s Services.
- Ensure services meet both local and national performance expectations.
- Provide strategic leadership across quality assurance, safeguarding and partnership working.
- Work collaboratively with senior leaders and key partners to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Significant senior leadership experience within Children’s Services.
- Strong experience across quality assurance and safeguarding.
- Experience providing strategic advice to senior leaders and/or elected Members.
- Strong understanding of national policies, legislation and expectations within Children’s Services.
- Proven ability to improve outcomes and drive high standards of practice.
- Strong partnership working, leadership and communication skills.
- Enhanced DBS.
- Right to work in the UK.
