Stores Operative – Polar Systems (King’s Lynn)
As a Stores Operative at Polar Systems, you will play a key role in supporting the manufacture of specialist food processing machinery by managing stock, materials handling, and the movement and preparation of engineering components and equipment. We are seeking a reliable and experienced individual to support shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have previous warehouse or stores experience, forklift certification, strong attention to detail, and the ability to safely handle heavy or specialist components when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and book in materials and components against purchase orders and engineering drawings.
- Maintain accurate stock records and carry out regular inventory checks.
- Prepare and stage parts for machine assembly projects.
- Pack and prepare finished equipment for UK and international shipping.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and safety within the warehouse.
- Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklift trucks and pallet stackers.
Key Requirements
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or technical stores environment preferred.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy when handling specialist components.
- Ability to understand basic technical drawings or parts lists is advantageous.
- Valid Counterbalance or Reach forklift licence required.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in stock control and documentation
- Strong teamwork, communication, and reliability.
Pay: £13.30-£14.00 per hour
