This post is offered on a term-time only basis, with 40 working weeks per year which broadly mirror school terms. Whilst the post involves some flexibility, the majority of course delivery takes place on a Wednesday, and applicants must be able to meet this essential requirement.

We are looking for an enthusiastic arts or play therapist to join our team and teach on our postgraduate MSc Play therapy in collaboration with With Kids and associated arts therapies programmes.
Working with With Kids and the arts therapies teams, you will help plan and deliver stimulating and engaging learning experiences, to integrate research and inquiry into the programme as well as providing academic and pastoral support to our students both in person and online.
You will be welcomed into our interdisciplinary community of scholars where you can explore options to further your career in the teaching, scholarship, and knowledge exchange activities that change people’s lives for the better.
If you are an arts or play therapist with experience of working with students and you are looking for an opportunity to work in higher education as part of a creative and flexible team, then we would love to hear from you.
You will be registered as an arts therapist with the Health and Care Professions Council, holding a qualifying degree in arts therapy (for example Music, Drama, or Art Therapy), or a Play Therapist registered with BAPT, and having evidence of active continuing professional development. You will possess interpersonal skills that will enable you to work effectively with colleagues, students, and networks.
Based across multiple sites, this role is offered on a term-time basis, with 40 working weeks per year broadly mirroring school terms. Course delivery takes place on a Wednesday in Glasgow from 11am onwards, and applicants must be able to meet this essential requirement. Although most of your time will be spent in Edinburgh, applicants will also be required to deliver a series of seminars in Glasgow.
