Are you an enthusiastic and compassionate Practice Nurse looking to join a supportive and patient-focused team? Dalblair Medical Practice is seeking a motivated and proactive Practice Nurse to become a valued member of our friendly multidisciplinary team.
Dalblair Medical Practice is a well-established GP practice in Ayr with approximately 2,900 patients. We are committed to delivering high-quality, person-centered care to our local community in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Our team includes 3 GP Partners, a Salaried GP, MDT Support, and an experienced administration and management team who work collaboratively to provide excellent patient care. We pride ourselves on maintaining a positive workplace culture, strong teamwork, and continuity of care for our patients.
Responsibilities
- Chroniic Disease Management(e.g) Asthma, COPD, Diabetes and Hypertension)
- Assisting with minor procedures and ensuring a sterile environment for treatments.
- Treatment room duties including wound care, dressings and injections.
- Monitoring patient vital signs and recording clinical information accurately.
- Cervical Screening.
- Venepuncture and routine clinical proedures.
- Supporting quality iImprovement activies and clinical audits
- Maintaining thorough and up-to-date patient records in compliance with data protection regulations.
- Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care plans.
- Providing advice on health-related issues and promoting healthy lifestyle choices.
- Contributing to the delivery of high-quality, patient centered care
Requirements
- Proven experience in patient care within a general practice.
- Competence in medication administration, including injections and other treatments.
- Excellent communication skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism when interacting with patients.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team .
- Organised approach to managing multiple priorities whilst maintaining attention to detail.
