Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bar. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a comprehensive understanding of food and beverage service. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining high standards of food safety, and managing the overall atmosphere of the bar to deliver an exceptional experience for our guests. The successful applicant will have a background in restaurant or hospitality environments, with relevant supervisory and team management experience.
Duties
- Lead and supervise the bar team, ensuring efficient service delivery and maintaining high standards of hospitality.
- Manage daily operations including stock control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Monitor customer feedback to improve service quality and resolve any issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all areas of the bar operation.
- Maintain a welcoming environment that promotes teamwork, professionalism, and guest satisfaction.
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting.
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
- Experience in managing teams effectively within a busy bar or restaurant environment.
- Familiarity with food production processes and kitchen operations.
- Previous roles involving serving customers in hospitality settings such as restaurants or bars.
- Knowledge of culinary practices is advantageous, along with barista experience if applicable.
- Strong leadership abilities combined with excellent organisational skills.
- Experience in managing stock levels, ordering supplies, and maintaining compliance with health regulations.
