Amelia’s Bar & Kitchen, is a Family owned Restaurant in Norwich City Centre, 69 London Street, NR2 1HT. Offering a Brunch & Dinner service we aim to incorporate English, Mediterranean & Moroccan inspired dishes to showcase our heritage and passion for food.
We're currently looking for experienced waiting staff to join our team as we get busier for the rest of summer and christmas period. You need to be customer focused, presentable and reliable. This is initially a part time to full time role 15 - 25 plus hours per week, potentially more depending on busy periods. Due to the number of applications we receive, we want to make it clear that we are looking for someone who has had previous hospitality experience, is Norwich based (over christmas) and can work weekdays, evenings and weekends on a shift basis.
Job Duties
Welcoming customers in a friendly manner and dealing with customer queries and seating customers.
Food Serving - including taking orders and serving food and making and serving drinks.
Updating the kitchen on all orders and ensuring that orders are put through the system in a timely manner so there is minimal delay on food orders reaching the kitchen for serving.
Making drinks - you will be responsible for making Barista made drinks, and cocktails as well as serving bottled soft drinks and alcohol.
Taking payments for orders and ensuring everything is correctly managed in the till system.
Cash handling
Cleaning tables and service areas including the bar, toilets and restaurant area to ensure the restaurant remains clean and adequate for dining at all times
Remaining up to date with Health & Safety and Food Allergens/safety requirements Ad Hoc duties
Experience Required
We are looking for experienced front of house staff, who have previously worked in the hospitality industry ideally, within a table service restaurant who understands customer services and the fast paced environment. you must be able to work alone on quieter shifts and as part of a team on busier weekends and evenings and seasonal periods.
