Electrician – Social Housing (ECS Gold Card Essential)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrician to join a leading electrical contractor delivering electrical testing, compliance and maintenance services across social housing properties throughout West London.
This is a permanent opportunity offering long-term, stable work with an excellent package and bonus scheme.
The Role
Working across occupied and communal social housing properties, your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs)
- Completing C1 and C2 remedial works following inspections
- Electrical fault finding and reactive maintenance
- Testing and inspecting communal electrical installations
- Carrying out Portable Appliance Testing (PAT)
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults
- Completing remedial works to ensure installations are compliant
- Producing accurate certification and testing documentation
- Using handheld devices to complete job sheets and certificates
- Working safely within occupied social housing properties
- Delivering excellent customer service to residents
- Liaising with supervisors and office staff regarding completed works
- Managing your own daily workload efficiently
- Ensuring all work complies with BS7671 Wiring Regulations
- Maintaining company vehicle, tools and equipment
- Following all company health and safety procedures
Essential RequirementsA VALID ECS GOLD CARD IS A MANDATORY REQUIREMENT FOR THIS ROLE.
To be considered, you must also have:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent)
- Experience carrying out EICRs within social housing
- Experience completing C1 & C2 remedial works
- Experience with communal electrical testing
- Experience carrying out PAT testing
- Strong fault-finding and maintenance experience
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your own diary
