Production Assistant
Norton Barton Food Village, based just outside Bude, is a collection of Artisan Food producers selling to a range of farm shops and delicatessens nationally. Our products are produced and dispatched on and from the farm. We currently produce rillettes and pates, salamis, cheese, savoury biscuits, rums and gins.
Job description
In this role, your duties would include, but not be limited to, the following:
· To assist in all aspects of production of all products across the site, as required.
· Cooking, jarring and sealing, mixing, bottling, canning, curing, site wide cleaning, packing (this is not an exhaustive list).
· Operate the retort, load/unload.
· Maintain batch, goods in and waste records.
· Use stock control system.
· Monthly audits of records.
· Ensure that quality is maintained.
· Achieve production targets.
· To carry out other duties around the site and within the other businesses from time to time as directed to ensure the successful operation of the Company.
Training will be provided in all areas although computer skills will be required.

Hours: 30 - 40 hours per week: 10 hour days, Mon-Thurs.
Annual leave: 28 days per year including bank holidays pro rata
We are based in a rural location so you will need a drivers licence and/or access to a vehicle.
Job Type: Temporary until Christmas, possibility of extending contract at this point
