This is an exciting opportunity to start your career in construction and surveying as a Development Surveyor Apprentice. You’ll gain hands-on experience both on-site and in the office, working alongside experienced technical professionals while studying towards a recognised qualification. You’ll learn how we ensure our homes are built to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance, while also delivering value for money and supporting sustainability goals. This is a 2-year apprenticeship.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Assist with site inspections to monitor quality, progress, and health & safety

Support delivery of new build and refurbishment projects

Help ensure construction works meet Building Regulations and Torus standards

Work with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to resolve technical issues
-
Support inspections, handovers, and post-completion reviews
-
Learn how to carry out property and condition surveys
-
Maintain accurate site records, reports, and compliance documentation

Support health & safety monitoring processes
-
Assist with customer-focused handovers to ensure a positive experience

Work towards a relevant apprenticeship qualification
What We’re Looking For:

A genuine interest in construction, surveying, or housing development

Willingness to work across office and site-based environments

Commitment to completing an apprenticeship qualification

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team

A proactive, positive approach to learning

Basic IT skills (e.g. Microsoft Office)

Commitment to health & safety and safe working practices

Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion

Relevant A Levels, T Level, BTEC or degree in construction or related field

Experience in construction, housing, or a technical environment (e.g. placement or part-time)

Awareness of sustainability, net zero, or modern construction methods

Driving licence
