Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic options, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions about menu items, and offering personalized recommendations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and dining areas in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including processing payments and balancing registers at shift end.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food delivery and ensure timely service during busy hours or special events like banquets or catering functions.
- Demonstrate strong time management skills to handle multiple tables or bar orders efficiently while maintaining high-quality service.
- Uphold responsible alcohol service practices, monitoring guest consumption to promote safety and prevent over-intoxication
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or bar work is preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation skills are advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with good time management abilities to handle busy periods efficiently.
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Experience with serving or culinary activities is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
