We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Cook/Baker. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in food preparation and cooking, who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The Cook will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety while contributing to an enjoyable dining experience.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals/cakes & desserts according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
- Monitor food quality and presentation before serving to guests.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned after use.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen setting.
- Strong culinary skills with an understanding of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Previous experience is required, particularly in high-volume settings.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when required.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during service periods.
