The role:
To provide administrative support to the Engineering, Technical and Training department, ensuring that training records are maintained, compliance requirements are met, and associated documentation is accurately managed.
This role supports the smooth operation of the engineering team by helping to maintain high standards of training, competency, compliance and record keeping across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Engineering Administration
- Maintain accurate engineering records, documentation and filing systems, ensuring information is organised, up to date and easy to access.
- Provide general administrative support to the engineering team, including tracking actions, follow-ups and outstanding tasks.
- Assist with preparing and issuing engineering reports and updates as required.
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure engineering information is communicated clearly and accurately.
Training Administration
- Maintain training matrix and competency records for all engineering staff.
- Schedule internal and external training courses.
- Coordinate training bookings with providers and employees.
- Track training expiry dates and arrange refresher training.
- Ensure all training certificates are recorded and filed appropriately.
- Produce reports on training compliance and competency levels.
- Support the onboarding process for new employees by arranging required training.
Technical Administration
- Support technical staff with BOM’s and TIF’s.
- Organise and maintain files.
- Attach specification forms to jobs before installation.
Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain engineer qualifications, licences, and certification records.
- Monitor compliance requirements and ensure records remain up to date.
- Prepare and distribute health and safety documentation where required.
- Assist with the creation and management of standard operating procedures and training materials.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Training records maintained at 100% accuracy.
- Training renewals arranged before expiry dates.
- Engineer administration completed within agreed timescales.
- Compliance records kept up to date.
- Positive feedback from engineers, managers, and customers.

Salary: TBC, dependant on experience
Pay: From £26,000.00 per year
