Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Team Member to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in food and meal preparation, ensuring high standards of food safety and service. Previous restaurant or catering experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Assist in meal preparation and food presentation, adhering to established recipes and standards
- Support the kitchen team in food safety practices, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation
- Prepare ingredients and components for various dishes, ensuring timely completion for service periods
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and utensils throughout shifts
- Serve food efficiently and courteously to customers or staff as required
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to ensure a safe working environment
- Support with catering events or special functions as needed
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, catering, or food service environment is advantageous but not mandatory
- Familiarity with meal preparation, food safety standards, and kitchen procedures is desirable
- Experience in cooking, food preparation, or culinary roles will be highly valued
- Knowledge of serving practices and customer service skills are beneficial for this role
