Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cafe Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our vibrant café environment. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily café operations, ensuring efficiency and high standards of service.
- Lead and motivate the team to deliver excellent customer experiences, fostering a positive work environment.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring adherence to recipes, presentation standards, and food safety regulations.
- Manage staff schedules, delegate tasks, and monitor performance to optimise team productivity.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, including food safety protocols and hygiene standards.
- Assist with food production as needed, including preparing beverages such as coffee as a barista.
- Handle customer enquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Maintain stock levels, place orders when necessary, and manage inventory efficiently.
- Organise staff training sessions on food safety, service techniques, and operational procedures.
- Monitor cleanliness of the café environment, including kitchen areas and dining spaces.
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience within a hospitality or restaurant setting.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations.
- Experience in team management and leadership roles in cafés or restaurants.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
- Knowledge of hospitality standards related to serving customers and maintaining high service quality.
- Familiarity with kitchen operations, food production processes, and barista skills is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in hotel or catering environments is advantageous.
- Good communication skills with an approachable manner towards staff and customers.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends if necessary; commitment to delivering outstanding service at all times.
