Water-Fed Pole Window Cleaner – TEMP - PART TIME
We are looking for a reliable and hard-working person to join our exterior cleaning team, carrying out residential window cleaning across Nottingham and Derby.
The majority of the work is completed using a water-fed pole (WFP) system. Previous window-cleaning or WFP experience would be useful, but training can be provided for the right person.
Pay
£12.71 per hour during the initial probationary period.
Following successful completion of probation, the hourly rate will increase to:
£14.00 per hour.
Hours
60 paid hours are guaranteed per calendar month.
Normal working hours are:
9:00am–2:00pm
Shifts are normally 5 hours.
Because this is an outdoor window-cleaning role, the exact working days will vary depending on weather conditions and operational requirements.
Scheduled working days may be moved when adverse weather prevents us from working.
Some weeks may therefore involve fewer working days, while busier weeks may occasionally require up to 5 working days.
The employee will still receive their 60 guaranteed paid hours each calendar month, even where adverse weather means fewer than 60 hours of work can physically be completed.
At the £12.71 probationary rate, the guaranteed monthly gross pay is:
£762.60 per month
After successful probation at £14 per hour:
£840 per month
The Role
You will work as part of a small team carrying out established residential window-cleaning rounds.
Typical duties include:
- Cleaning windows using a water-fed pole system
- Cleaning window frames and sills

- Setting up and safely handling WFP equipment
- Moving equipment between properties
- Checking completed work and maintaining a good cleaning standard
- Being polite and professional around customers and their property
- Helping keep the work vehicle and equipment organised
- Travelling between scheduled jobs as part of the working day
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who is:
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working outdoors
- Physically capable of using water-fed poles throughout the working day
- Able to maintain a steady working pace
- Careful around customers’ homes and property
- Able to follow instructions and established cleaning methods
- Comfortable working as part of a small team
- Flexible about which days they work because of changing weather conditions
Previous window-cleaning or water-fed pole experience is an advantage, but it is not essential if you are willing to learn and can demonstrate reliability and a good work ethic.
