Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our admin team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Duties
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports using Sage accounting software such as Sage.
- Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Perform data entry tasks related to financial transactions, reconciliations, and ledger updates.
- Analyse financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, or areas for improvement.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures in compliance with organisational policies.
- Support human resources functions related to payroll processing and employee expense claims via HRIS systems like Workday or similar platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain organised records of financial documents for audit purposes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role, with strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Sage accounting software.
- Experience with accounts payable processes and financial data entry.
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately.
- Familiarity with organisational human resources functions related to payroll and expenses is desirable.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Pay: £30,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
