Finance Business Partner ( 2 Permanent Opportunities)
The Scottish Ambulance Service is seeking to recruit two permanent Finance Business Partners to join our senior Finance Team.
These are exciting opportunities to play a key role in shaping strategic decision-making, driving financial sustainability and supporting the delivery of high quality health and care services across Scotland.
As a national frontline service, the Scottish Ambulance Service provides Emergency, Special Operations, ScotSTAR including Air Ambulance, Patient Transport and Flow Navigation services to communities across Scotland. The Service operates in a complex and rapidly evolving environment and is at the forefront of many national transformation and modernisation programmes.
Working closely with Directors, senior managers, clinicians and national stakeholders, Finance Business Partners provide strategic financial leadership, challenge and support across a diverse portfolio of operational and corporate services. The roles are integral to supporting financial planning, service transformation, efficiency programmes and major investment decisions.
These positions o er the opportunity to:
- Influence strategic and operational decision making at senior levels of the organisation.
- Support nationally significant programmes of work and service transformation initiatives.
- Lead the development of innovative financial solutions that maximise value and support financial sustainability.
- Utilise modern business intelligence, reporting and analytical tools, including Microsoft Power BI, to generate insight and support evidence based decision making.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across SAS, NHS Scotland, Scottish Government and partner organisations.
- Contribute to the continuous development of a modern, forward-looking finance function.
- Support may also be available for applicants interested in undertaking the NHS Scotland Finance Academy Programme 2026, where this aligns with the requirements of the role and service needs.
We are looking for ambitious and motivated finance professionals who combine strong technical expertise with excellent communication, influencing and relationship management skills. Successful candidates will be comfortable operating in a complex, fast paced environment where priorities can change quickly and where financial insight is critical to organisational success.
