Warehouse Operative
We are an expanding, thriving truck parts wholesaler based in Basildon and are looking to expand our warehouse team with a motivated and reliable Warehouse Operative.
If you enjoy physical work, have excellent attention to detail, strong numeracy skills, and enjoy working as part of a team, this could be the role for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving deliveries of goods and supplies
- Checking deliveries for damaged or missing items
- Storing goods safely and efficiently
- Moving stock by hand and using a forklift (where authorised)
- Picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch
- Maintaining accurate stock and delivery paperwork
- Keeping warehouse and work areas clean and tidy
- Following all health and safety procedures
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm
- Flexibility required during busy periods
- Overtime opportunities available
Skills and Attributes
You will require a valid forklift licence and the following would be advantageous:
- Good level of physical fitness
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills
- Ability to work using your own initiative
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Competence in completing paperwork and records
- Understanding of health and safety requirements
- Honest, dependable, and reliable attitude
