We are looking for energetic, fast-moving, and positive Bar Staff to join our team at a brand-new beach restaurant and bar popping up right on the sands of Bournemouth for the summer season!
With two bars on site—one serving a bustling casual dining restaurant and another dedicated to a high-speed takeaway hatch—this is a high-volume, sun-soaked role perfect for anyone who thrives on a busy floor and loves a great summer team environment. You will be serving everything from ice-cold draught beers and ciders to fresh wines, premium cocktails, and soft drinks to a lively beach crowd enjoying our live music and DJs.
Duties
- Fast-Paced Service: Pour drinks and serve customers quickly and accurately across our restaurant bar and rapid takeaway hatch.
- Keep the Vibe Alive: Deliver friendly, high-energy customer service even during peak beach rushes and high-volume lunch and dinner shifts.
- Maintain Bar Standards: Keep bar areas, fridges, and glassware spotlessly clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout your shift.
- Responsible Service: Strictly adhere to licensing laws by checking IDs confidently and practicing responsible alcohol service (Challenge 25).
- Teamwork: Work closely with barbacks, the kitchen team, management, and our security team to ensure a smooth, safe, and fun guest experience.
Experience & Requirements
- Bar or Hospitality Experience: Previous experience working in a fast-paced bar, pub, festival, or high-volume hospitality environment is highly preferred.
- Speed & Stamina: The ability to work efficiently on your feet and maintain a cool head when the beach is packed and the orders are flying in.
- Product Familiarity: Basic knowledge of pouring draught beer, mixing simple drinks, and general bar operations is a plus.
- Summer Commitment: Reliability and the energy to commit to the summer sprint (July – September), including weekends and bank holidays.
- Great Attitude: A proactive, team-first mindset with a big smile—you are the face of our summer venue!
Pay: £12.00-£13.50 per hour
