Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts and experience in meal preparation within a care home kitchen environment.
Duties:
- Prepare and cook menu items in compliance with established recipes and standards
- Ensure the quality and presentation of dishes meets the restaurant's expectations
- Assist in the development of new menu items and specials
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen workspace
- Monitor food stock levels and place orders as needed
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Cook or relevant role
- Knowledge of food safety practices
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with various cooking techniques and equipment
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members
