Role Description
Prudentia Education are looking to recruit a Functional Skills Tutor who can plan and deliver English lessons, and also assist in the delivery of our other qualifications. This role is a full time position.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
· Carry out and record initial assessments on all new learners.
· Deliver different aspects of our curriculum
· Ensure that learners take part in a suitable programme of study for the required subjects.
· Work with Functional Skills Lead to improve the reading levels throughout the school.
· Ensure the exam policies and procedures are undertaken within the school.
· Ensure that the desired success rate is achieved for all Functional Skills Delivery.
· Be able to plan sessions in accordance with scheme of work.
· Be able to assist in the school throughout the day.
Background and Experience
· The ability to work in a target orientated environment and achieve required measures of success and quality.
· Experience in the delivery and assessment of accredited qualifications.
· Experience of unsupervised working and using own initiative.
· Ability to work in a challenging environment.
Required
· An outstanding track record along with being reliable, professional, hardworking and punctual.
· Preparing, planning and delivering Functional Skills, literacy and numeracy ranging from Entry Level 1 to Level 2

Contract length: 1 year
Working hours - 8:45am - 4pm (Monday-Friday).
