The Royal Oak in Gretton is a stunning fully independent country pub located in the outskirts of Cheltenham offering breathtaking views of the Cotswold landscape.
We aim to offer a traditional pub experience with a modern twist, with a menu ranging from celebrated pub classics and more modern dishes.

We have an opportunity for either a Bar & Restaurant supervisor or a more experienced Assistant manager to come and join our FOH team. Supporting the general manager and owner, to ensure the restaurant is running to the highest standard possible.
Main duties include:
- Work alongside and deputise for the General Restaurant Manager
- Be responsible for day to day operations
- Work in a hands-on capacity
- Manage, train, coach, lead and develop the team
- Place Orders
- Give excellent customer service
- Maintain company standards and systems & procedures
We are looking for:
- The position will suit someone with Previous experience as restaurant supervisor or assistant manager. Might also consider an experienced waiter looking for a step up for the supervisor position.
- A hands-on lead from the front approach
- Excellent communication, organisation and training skills
- Exceptional customer service skills and attention to detail
- Passion for serving fresh food and high end beverages
- A positive attitude and outgoing personality
- Presentable, well mannered and courteous
- Punctual
- Ability to remain composed in a fast paced environment
We are an indipendent pub so there is real opportunity to help shape the business and team working alongside the General Manager. It will be very important for the role being able to build strong relatonships with our local customer base.
Due to the location we never have very late nights, latest finish will be 11p.m. Equal share of tips for every staff member, free food on shift, 40hrs.
