Are you an organised and proactive Business & Finance Officer with excellent financial administration skills and a passion for supporting schools?
Elementa Support Services is working in partnership with supportive and well-managed schools to recruit experienced Business & Finance Officers. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting the financial and administrative functions of a school, ensuring resources are managed effectively while contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the organisation.
As a Business & Finance Officer, you will:
Support the day-to-day financial management of the school, including processing invoices, purchase orders, payments, and income
Assist with budget monitoring and financial reporting
Maintain accurate financial records using school finance systems
Process payroll information and reconcile financial transactions where required
Support procurement activities and ensure value for money when purchasing goods and services
Assist with the administration of school contracts, lettings, and service agreements
Produce financial reports and administrative documentation for senior leaders and governors
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, school policies, and audit requirements
Provide general business and administrative support to the school office
Work collaboratively with school leaders, staff, suppliers, and external agencies
We are looking for someone who:
Has previous experience working in a finance, business support, or school administration role
Has strong financial administration and bookkeeping skills
Has excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Is confident using Microsoft Office and financial management systems (such as SIMS FMS, Arbor Finance, PS Financials, or similar)
Can prioritise workloads and meet deadlines in a busy environment
Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Can maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
Holds relevant business, finance, or administration qualifications (desirable but not essential)

Appointment is subject to:
